Thomas Chadwick’s latest personal project shadows Arin Wright, an elite athlete/soccer player for the Chicago Redstars. She is one of the few pro athletes, in all of pro sport, that has managed to come back to play professionally after becoming a mother who had a c-section.
Thomas spent days with Arin, documenting her daily routines at home and work.
Compensation in women’s sports is dramatically unfair when compared to mens’ sports, and athletes that become mothers are often left to juggle childcare, training, and competition, often having their young ones come to training sessions with them.
