Photographer Scott Thompson shows the world through the lens of the men and women of our fine military how we as a nation “collaborate”.
On August 10, 2024, the 3rd Battalion of The Royal Anglian Regiment, affectionately known as “The Steelbacks,” dived into tactical training at Camp Grayling, Michigan. This was all part of Northern Strike 24-2, one of the Department of Defense’s biggest reserve readiness exercises. Running from August 3 to 17 at the National All Domain Warfighting Center (NADWC), the event brought together over 6,300 participants from 32 states and territories, plus several international forces.
As they engaged in intense training scenarios, The Steelbacks showcased their skills and teamwork, embodying the spirit of collaboration vital for today’s military. Northern Strike isn’t just about honing individual abilities; it’s about strengthening partnerships across all domains of warfare. With their eyes set on future challenges, these soldiers are proving they’re ready for whatever comes next.
